On the third weekend in June get out to the Annual Trout Creek Relay for Life and raise money for cancer. Trout Creek is located south of North Bay and north of Muskoka. Trout Creek is a small town located in the Almaguin Highlands and very close to Algonquin Provincial Park. Trout Creek is also a tourist town for cottage rentals, private cottages and cottage resorts.
This relay for life has many activities going on from 7pm - 7am in the morning with the top ten participants having a wonderful steak dinner. Everyone is welcome to join this fund raiser.

June Cottage Getaway fishing, hot tub & beach
Pack your bags and head up north to the Almaguin Highlands and Muskoka area to enjoy the fresh air, clear sky and breathtaking scenery.
Start your holiday with a relaxing walk, take the boats out for sightseeing or fishing, have a nice dinner or barbecue in your lakefront cottage and then end your evening with watching the sunset and sitting at the campfire roasting marshmallows and looking up at the stars. it doesn't get much better then that.
Wake up the next morning to early fishing or just sit and relax in a cozy hot tub. Go for a drive and see some local art at Screaming Heads and take lots of pictures. The art is amazing and you will remember the experience for such a long time. Screaming Heads was featured on HGTV for Extreme Homes. After you leave there stop in Burks Falls information centre and enjoy the falls and centre where you can buy fudge, coffee and hot chocolate.
Take in the outdoor scenery with tall pines while relaxing at the beach, then finish off your evening with an on site massage right inside your cottage. A registered massage therapist is available for you so make sure you book in advance to have him visit you during your cottage vacation.
What more can you ask for in a weekend. Get away from your busy life just for a few days to relax your mind and body. When you leave you will just want to head north again very soon to do it all over again.
